0:08 Got another question from one of our partners today that we keep seeing over and over again, and that is, “What happens if Google completely changes its search algorithm, perhaps with a major AI overhaul? How do we reassure our clients that AI search is going to continue to deliver results?”

We’ve seen them make major algorithm shifts in the past like Penguin or Panda updates, and then more recently they’ve rolled out AI mode in the states in India, and I do expect that the rest of the countries are probably not far behind.
0:42 So what happens if they make another game-changing shift in the algorithm? Will AI search services still be effective? Will SEO still be effective? And the short answer is yes. And here’s why.
0:54 So, Google’s increased use of AI in search, such as Google’s AI overviews and even AI mode, doesn’t necessarily negate SEO, it just refines it.
1:03 AI overviews often summarize direct answers. So, this means we should structure content to provide clear and concise responses to users’ questions in order to increase your chances of being cited.

1:27 And finally, AI relies on high-quality and authoritative sources. So strengthening your E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness) of your site is going to make it all the more likely that it selects your website as the reference.
1:42 Think of it like gravity. Even if the way we measure it changes, the fundamental force still holds everything down. And good SEO is that fundamental force.
